Perkins played three years for the Vipers and proved himself as a good all-around player.

During his high school career Perkins hit .470 with 119 hits, 97 RBIs and 21 home runs.

Perkins is also a formidable defensive player with quick reaction time and ability to track down balls hit anywhere in his vicinity.

Perkins' speed is also an asset on the base paths. He had 42 stolen bases during his three-year span with the Vipers and scored an inside-the-park home run during Verrado's 14-0 win over Glendale on April 28.

Perkins committed to play with Arizona State University in November, 2014.
